Hello,
Can anybody help me please and tell me why the following answers are incorrect in joining the two sentences using relative clause (defining or non-defining)? All the answers are incorrect in my examination.

Hello!
Commas are needed when the relative clause can be deleted, i.e. non-defining clause:
The clinic is rapidly expanding. It is currently looking for high caliber candidates to join the team. We are looking for a new veterinary assistant to join our team.
The clinic, which is currently looking for high caliber candidates to join the team, is rapidly expanding.
However, you forgot this: "We are looking for a new veterinary assistant to join our team". Maybe you should use "including" or "one of whom" or "whose"?

Proofreading (X means something is missing)
1) The clinic is rapidly expanding. It is currently looking for high caliber candidates to join the team. We are looking for a new veterinary assistant to join our team.
Ans: The clinic Xwhich is currently looking for high caliber candidates to join the team, is rapidly expanding. X (misses the last sentence)

2) The position is full-time. It requires candidates to have two years' relevant experience.
Ans: The position which requires candidates to have two years' relevant expericnce, is full-time.
No: The position, which is full...

3 The successful candidate should have some basic knowledge of animal care. He/She must be patient and kind-hearted.
Ans:The successful candidate X who X have some basic knowledge of animal care, must be patient and kind-hearted

4 The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training. The training is professional.
Ans: The successful candidate who will receive on-the-job train, is professional.
No: The successful candidate will..., which is...

5 The successful candidate must be a good team player. He/She will have to work with other veterinary assistants.
Ans: The successful candidate X who will have to work with other veterinary assistants, must be a good team player.

6 The successful candidate must speak fluent English and Cantonese. He/She will need to communicate with different clients.
Ans: The successful candidate X who need to communicate with different clients, must speak fluent English and Cantonese.

7 The vet assistant is required to be on duty 6 days a week. He/She has to work 8 hours a day.
Ans: The vet assistant X who has to work 8 hours a day, is required to be on duty 6 days a week.

8 He/She may also have to work in Tsim Sha Tsui. Our clinic organizes booths as well as other promotional activities in Tsim Sha Tsui occasionally.
Ans: He/She may also have to work in Tsim Sha Tsui which our clinic organizes booths as well as other promotional activities in Tsim Sha Tsui occasionally.
No: Our clinic..., where s/he... in

9 The application deadline for the position is 12th August. The position is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career.
Ans: The application deadline for the positionX which is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career, is X 12th August.

You have mainly forgotten to put the commas which were needed.
See you!
