Playing with words!/ 8
Message de here4u posté le 08-06-2020 à 14:08:23 (S | E | F)
Hello dear Friends!

Voici le nouveau "Playing with words"...
Je vous rappelle que cet exercice a des règles qui doivent être respectées. Lisez-les bien si vous ne les connaissez pas ! Ce travail est loin d'être un jeu ...

Using THE 8 WORDS given below (the 2 verbs can be put in whatever tenses or forms you fancy but MUST remain verbs!), 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns and 2 link words, + a given structure and the suitable punctuation, search your minds, think hard and create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE.
- You CANNOT change the nature of the words!
- You CANNOT use two or more compulsory words consecutively!
PLEASE, WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR SENTENCE, PUT CAPITALS TO THE GIVEN WORDS!

To EXCLAIM – to EXCUSE – EXTRA - SAFE - a DUTY – a GUEST - THOUGH - AS LONG AS + un irréel du présent.

Lien internet

THE FORCE is with you!

He EXCLAIMED « AS LONG AS you are under my roof, you rudeness towards our GUESS won't be tolerated, and strange THOUGH it may seem , he is a SAFE pair of hands,  and , your DUTY would henceforth be to EXCUSE yourself, be EXTRA polite and, IF you behave, correctly he would forgive you » 53 mots

il s'exclama « aussi longtemps que tu seras sous mon toit ta grossièreté envers notre invité ne sera pas tolérée et, aussi étrange que cela puisse paraître c'est quelqu'un de sûr et ton devoir envers lui dorénavant serait de t 'excuser, d'être extra poli et si tu te comportes ainsi , il te pardonnera

READY TO BE CORRECTED

Hello everyone!
This exercise is always fun!

To EXCLAIM – to EXCUSE – EXTRA - SAFE - a DUTY – a GUEST - THOUGH - AS LONG AS + un irréel du présent.

THOUGH you don't seem to bother, I feel it my DUTY to point out that if he WERE my GUEST, he wouldn't EXCLAIM that a hot dog should be served with an EXTRA sausage ; but AS LONG AS he's yours, I understand why you feel it SAFER to EXCUSE him... (53)

Hello dear here4u
Please find hereunder another comment focused on covid-19,
ready to be corrected.
Playing with words nr. 8 – deadline June29
La date limite pour cet exercice est le lundi 29 juin 2020 tard.
To EXCLAIM – to EXCUSE – EXTRA - SAFE - a DUTY – a GUEST - THOUGH - AS LONG AS + un irréel du présent.

THOUGH the virulence of covid-19 has lowered, it goes on to be an un unendurable GUEST of our way of life and it has little sense TO EXCLAIM against our governments and being EXCUSED from the DUTIES and the EXTRA-sacrifices we are subjected to, because AS LONG AS a vaccine HADN’T FOUND, no one of US COULD HAVE CONSIDERED himself SAFE. 54

I thank you very much indeed, for giving me the opportunity to discuss about the main problem in being today.

I wish you a great weekend, but… take care.
So long.
Joe39

Hello my dear Here4u, thanks a lot!
Hi Everybody!

FINISHED…

Here is my work :
Voici le nouveau "Playing with words"...
Using THE 8 WORDS given below : 2 verbs, 2 adjectives or adverbs, 2 nouns, 2 link words, + a given structure and the suitable punctuation, search your minds, and create AN ONLY meaningful SENTENCE between 30 and 60 words.

To EXCLAIM – to EXCUSE – EXTRA - SAFE - a DUTY – a GUEST - THOUGH - AS LONG AS + un irréel du présent.

Molly exclaimed, "You have not been excused from doing your duty: however, as long as your guest behaves like a parasite at home, you cannot feel safe because he hangs out with scum; I ask you to break up with him…, though he is stronger than me, (he wears extra large sizes), if he comes back, I'll fire him! » 60 mots.

Molly s’écria: « Tu n’as pas été dispensé de faire ton devoir : cependant, tant que ton invité se comportera comme un parasite à la maison, tu ne peux pas te sentir en sécurité parce qu’il traîne avec de la racaille ; je te demande de rompre avec lui…, bien qu’il soit plus fort que moi, (il porte des tailles extra larges), s’il revient, je vais le virer! »

THE FORCE is with you! 💪
Have a nice summer so, take care of yourselves, each of you!
See you soon.

Hello, Dears,

Voici les phrases que vous avez construites, légèrement remaniées pour certaines, afin de répondre aux "règles" et de faire des énoncés grammaticalement corrects. Je suis un peu en avance mais rajouterai, bien sûr, les corrections éventuelles de tout ce que voudrez éventuellement publier. N'hésitez pas !

- She EXCLAIMED to him: « AS LONG AS you are under my roof, you rudeness towards our GUEST won't be tolerated, and strange THOUGH it may seem, he is a SAFE pair of hands, and, your DUTY would henceforth be to EXCUSE yourself/ apologise, be EXTRA polite and, IF you behave correctly he will forgive you. » 53 mots

- Elle s'exclama vers lui : « aussi longtemps que tu seras sous mon toit, ta grossièreté envers notre invité ne sera pas tolérée et, aussi étrange que cela puisse paraître c'est quelqu'un de sûr et ton devoir envers lui dorénavant serait de t 'excuser, d'être extra poli et si tu te comportes ainsi , il te pardonnera. »

- THOUGH you don't seem to bother, I feel it my DUTY to point out that if he WERE my GUEST, he wouldn't EXCLAIM that a hot dog should be served with an EXTRA sausage ; but AS LONG AS he's yours, I understand why you feel it SAFER to EXCUSE him... (53)

- THOUGH the virulence of covid-19 has lowered, it goes on being an unendurable GUEST of our way of life and it has little sense TO « EXCLAIM » at our governments and be EXCUSED of the DUTIES and the EXTRA-sacrifices we are subjected to, because AS LONG AS a vaccine HASN’T BEEN FOUND, none of us CAN CONSIDER himself SAFE. 54

- Molly EXCLAIMED: "You have not been EXCUSED from doing your DUTY: however, AS LONG AS your GUEST behaves like a parasite at home, you cannot feel safe because he hangs out with scum; I ask you to break up with him…, THOUGH he is stronger than me, (he wears EXTRA large sizes), if he comes back, I'll kick him out!» 60 mots.

Molly s’écria: « Tu n’as pas été dispensé de faire ton devoir : cependant, tant que ton invité se comportera comme un parasite à la maison, tu ne peux pas te sentir en sécurité parce qu’il traîne avec de la racaille ; je te demande de rompre avec lui…, bien qu’il soit plus fort que moi, (il porte des tailles extra larges), s’il revient, je vais le virer! »
